I can't apologise enough for the long delay in posts and new features. As this is an Affiliate Programmes blog, as you can imagine I'm involved in Affiliate Marketing some way or another. Infact, I have several affiliate based websites I have been working very hard on and has kept me away from working on my blog for some time now.

However, this is about to change, I hope to start posting new articles again with the lastest goings on in affiliate marketing. Please stick with me over the next couple of weeks as I try to provide you the information that best interests you. Furthermore, I will be giving you some tips and tricks relating to my own affiliate based sites and the methods to imploy and ignor on your own site.

I apologise for no new posts

I would just like to apologise for not posting for some time now. With me being an affiliate publisher myself I have had to commit a lot of time working on my own affiliate marketing based sites so I have had little time to make posts. I have made promises to get back on track but I broke that promise. Please come back soon as I once again get back to providing daily and weekly affiliate marketing news and updates.

New York Affiliates Terminated from Affiliate Programme

For some daft reason New York laws due to cancellation of sales tax has prevented DeepDiscount.com to continuing with there affiliate programme on AffiliateFuture US with New York based Affiliates. Just take a look at this email I received to day. Thank god im not based in NY, because I won't be happy now.

POLICY PROHIBITING THE USE OF NEW YORK AFFILIATES
May 28, 2008
Due to recent changes in New York law relating to the collection of sales tax, DeepDiscount.com will no longer offer its products for sale through affiliates or other representatives (the "Affiliate Network") that are residents of New York State and that are paid a commission on such sales. Accordingly, DeepDiscount.com is hereby immediately terminating all participation in the Affiliate Network by all affiliates that are New York State residents through all performance marketing networks. A New York State resident is (a) any individual who maintains a permanent place of abode in New York State and (b) any corporation incorporated under the laws of New York and (c) any corporation, association, partnership or other entity doing business or maintaining a place of business in New York State. (See New York Sales and use Tax Regulations Section 526.15, 10 NYCRR §526.15.)
Therefore, if you are a New York State resident, your participation in the Affiliate Network is hereby immediately terminated and you must immediately cease and desist from any referrals of sales to DeepDiscount.com and remove any links to all websites operated by Infinity Resources, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including without limitation Infinity Consumer Entertainment, Inc. dba DeepDiscount.com from your website. [The change in the law does not require DeepDiscount.com to cease doing business with or through affiliates who simply advertise DeepDiscount.com's products without compensation or who are paid a fixed amount on a "per click-thru" basis ("Affiliate Exemption").]
If you continue to participate in the DeepDiscount.com affiliate network(s) following this notice, then by your participation and each time a potential customer links to DeepDiscount.com from your website, you are certifying, representing, and warranting to Infinity Consumer Entertainment, Inc. dba DeepDiscount.com that you are not a resident of New York State, as described above, or that your participation in the Affiliate Network falls within the Affiliate Exemption.
By your continued participation in the Affiliate Network following this notice, you also agree to notify DeepDiscount.com if your status changes and you become a resident of New York State and that, immediately upon any such change in your residency status, you agree that your participation in the Affiliate Network is terminated and that you will immediately cease and desist from any referrals of sales to DeepDiscount.com and remove any links to those website(s) from your website.
The terms and conditions of your continued participation in the Affiliate Network are amended by this policy and by your continued participation in the Affiliate Network, you acknowledge and agree to such changes.

Not a Good Month for Merchants

I have found this month many of my merchants, some I have been invloved in the affiliate programme for the last few years, are closing. Most noteably, merchants for AffiliateFuture. So it looks like April is the time merchants reaccess there accounts, marketing budget, etc. and some have chosen to close. So if your involved with many merchants across all major affiliate networks, be sure to give you accounts a check to make sure your still be paid the commission you earned.
